It is done! bAoc is finally over...All the hard work, sweat, tears, heartache, headache, stress, everything, has ended off with a bang! The close to 1 1/2 months of preperations was worth it... but i feel darn sad for the deco, 1 1/2 months of prep, and 1 hour of destroying all of it. saddening... Anyway, the name for this year's orientation is "Carnival X'travaganza", and there are 8 groups, my group is named "Wild Wild Rodeo"
The first day, named the "Carnival Inauguration" was the day where the orientation first took place. Freshmen came, got to know each other learned cheers, got to know about the school more. At the end of the day, we had to tear down all our deco, this was kind of a spoiler for me...cause its so sad seeing everything going down...
The second day, named the "Parade Intermission" was the Sports day, all the SCOs were in charge of a station, i took the "Water Carrier in the dark" station... it was crazy... so many groups came at a time man... its like, only 2 groups can play at a time, but in my hand, i collected 8 scorecards... this was the day where more people cheer...
The third day, name the "X'travaganza Finale" was supposed to be the most ON day... its supposed to be the last day of orientation, this is where everyone gathers at the convention centre, every group has their performance, SCOs has their own performance, MCs and lecturers too... i was kinda touched when i saw the tribute dedicated to BA society... it reminded me of all the hard work, pain, joy, the times we spent together, all the SCOs, all the laughter, i felt like a family with all of them... its a nice feeling...
And i would like to congratulate my 2 pageants! for winning the TOP prize Miss bAoc, and Mr bAoc, I'm really proud of u guys, cause there was never a time when both the top pageants came from the same group! You 2 are great! Thanks man!
We won the Best Deco award, dun worry wild wild rodeo, i know that some of u guys are disappointed that we did not win the BEST OG group, but i wanna tell u guys that, in my heart, u guys are the BEST!
I wanna congratulate Ruby, Jerome and brendan for winning the best og, and Jason for winning the Best SCO, and from my team, Weixiong for winning the Best SC... You all deserve it!
To Weixiong: hope u continue as an SCO or something... i think u would make a good SCO...
The fourth day, which is the last day, was the FOC, not planned by BA society, but by the whole poly. before this day, i was kinda dreading this day, cause i was like, cant i at least have 1 day of holiday? cause usually orientation was only for 3 days, but this year had this extra day. i wanted so much to rest... but when this event came, i was so happy... everything was so good... we kapt on cheering and cheering like no body's business! i think the other 10 schools might have think the School of BA is mad! haha... we had so many chains of cheers... i think now they might have seen the School of BA's Zest for Life! and we won the TOP prize, among all 11 schools in the poly. i'm sure its cause of all the cheering, and of course the telematch! it was great... Another trophy!
went out with SCOs ans some MCs for dinner at suntec Fish and Co... i think food was so-so... but we had fun there... 20 of us squeezed into a table which was meant for 10-12 people... All the laughter there... i think the other people think we are some crazy people... but it was fun! but after that i knew more about who like who! haha... the ABCDMOR..N, and the D'SUN...
And the few most impt people from wild wild rodeo i think i owe most of my Thanks to are Rai, Joy, Mai, Ifah, Indah, Rizal, Limei... you are the people who made me laugh the most during the preperation, during the actual bAoc, u guys helped me the most with the group's deco! u guys shared alot of memories with me, i hope our friendship will not end there, but continuing on! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! with out u guys, i think i would just become among the walking dead...
To my partners, it has been a year since we started out working with each other... though there where some trials and tribulations, in the end, it turned out all perfect, wanna thank u 2 for making me smile at times...
Everything was great... but i'm feeling kind of a nostalgia now... starting to miss everyone... but oh well, life like tt...I will remember ALL the memories i had...
you know, when i join SCO a year ago, so many of my friends gave me discouraging remarks such as "i dunno y u join this kinda thing, waste of time", or "aiyoh, y u join this? u marks already so bad still wanna join" but i tell u the truth, the answer which i have always kept within myself was that, i wanted that sense of achievement, something i contributed back to the school... and so it was, i felt that sense of achievement at the end! and it was good... My role as an SCO has come to a close... it is done...
And now, another of my dreams is completed...
