One week of attachment is over,haha... it was, kinda interesting, lotsa things to learn about the working world... i am under the Finance dept for SPC, doing mainly the Accounts payable for them, well, not much now, but i'm sure quite soon, i will do more...
I went there last monday, first day of work, woke up real early, like at 6.30am, den went to work by bus, thinking that it would be cheaper and faster, but no, it took me about an hour plus...haha... anyway, my work starts at 8.15 and ends at 5pm every day for 5 days a week...Den when i reached there, asked the receptionist(Joanne) for my reporting officer, she is Carol Cheong, the Finance Manager... den she was not there yet... so i waited for someone to bring me in... after a while, someone came, i forgot the name, but i think she is from the Human Resource dept, quite a nice lady... den when i was brought inside another lady attended to me, called Aline, forgot how to spell it, but tts how to pronounce it... she was the one that was supposed to guide me along... den after a while a man came, called Yat Kong, he is the accountant, a higher position than Aline i think, she is his assistant, den yat kong brought me around...
After a while, Carol Cheong came, den she told yat kong that he was in charge of me... haha... meaning now, i am kinda confused who is my reporting officer, Carol or Yat kong or Aline... hahaa... The ppl there are quite nice, only got alot of quiet ppl, if u dun tok to them, they will not tok to u, i think they are just shy, oh well... haha...
Went for lunch with yat kong and some others from the investment dept and finance dept at the food court. For lunch, i have a few choices, food court, or hawker centre across the road, or fast food, but so far, i have not gone to any fast food, which is good...haha... less unhealthy...
Have to wear formal everyday except friday... Friday is casual day, as they call it, can wear smart casual clothing... haha... cool man... Went to Chinatown market to have lunch last friday... haha, they said that usually every friday, they wont eat at harbour front food court or hawker centre, they would go somewhere else, most of the time chinatown market.
Well, the first week of work was quite cool, interesting, i got my own table, own computer, but no internet connection... haha... else i would have switched on my msn...haha... 5 weeks left till school starts... haha...
Worship Sunday is coming, and i just realised it clashes with my MC/SCO/ASCO camp... i think i will leave the camp on saturday night after the meeting ends, hopefully not too late... den i will ask daolin and shaun to lead the practise on saturday... hope everything will be smooth... hope will not get scolding from daniel...hahaha... i bet he will question me again...haha...
haha, went for the chalet that yahui planned for last friday, and stayed there for a night till saturday, den had the SC outing on sat, tiring man... din have a barbeque on tt day cause too feww ppl came for the chalet from my class, or rather ex class... melissa they all also booked a chalet from friday till sunday, i went to their room to play cards, we played this game called circle of death, den using ernest's Vodka, we drank... haha... ernest was red...had fun with all my SCs and my dearest partners Melissa and Shaoping, looking forward to the camp...
Haiz... i better go sleep now, got work tmr, and i wanna go gym tmr night...haha.. byebye yalls...
