Its been long... nv updated for so long... well, let me write todae's blog sequencially as the days starting from mondae this week...
Monday:
Supposed to meet the camp committee at church to do some stuff at 9am, but in the end i went late... why? because of the laptop... i sent it one last time to HP, asked them wad exactly is the problem... my mother followed me, questioned them irritably, impatiently, but tt was good... haha... because i really wanted to get to the bottom of this laptop problem... a few weeks ago, i paid $99.75 for nothing... they told me that perhaps i could bring the cd to them and they can help me install it... so my mother went to get the cd from my father's friend... while she sent me to church first for the meeting i was already late for... meeting went on fine... we finalised some stuff, they helped me cut out the memory verses, printed some stuff... we also went to the campsite to racky(not sure if tts hows its spelt) the area... finished at around 3 i think... yea... den i went home... my mother den told me that we betta quickly get this laptop stuff over and done with, so we went to the hp place again... handed the engineer the cd, and he said it could be ready in 2 to 3 working days time... yup, thats all for monday...
Tuesday:
supposed to go to church again for the camp committee meeting, agreed to meet at 9.30, but i must confess i woke up late, i was so tired...woke up at about 9.30... reached there at about 11... so sorry marke... he was waiting for all of us from 9.30 until i was the next to come...no one else came yet... den derrek came, den daolin, shawn and marvelle...made the strings for the nametags...finalised everything... after that, it was raining heavily, the DNA ppl planned to have a swensons outing todae... so i still went to plaza singapura despite the heavy rain... the inside of my shoes got wet... i was sooo happy... they gave me a suprise, they bought me a cake, and suddenly sang a birthdae song for me...so happy, the first time firends i dun really noe that much, have done this for me... friends that i have only known for about 2 months... den i went home, packed my stuff for the camp... and went to bed...
Wednesday:
Big dae for me... first day as a Camp Commandant at any camp i have been to... but i dont really see myself as the "boss"... whos the boss? i tell u the truth, it is none other than God Himself...yupz... reached the campsite at 9 sharp, as planned... marke was already there using his laptop to do some stuff... den daolin came, and more and more... marvelle, who was supposed to be in charge of registration, was late...hahaha... den after a short while, my mother called me and told me that my laptop reached home already, so she was going to bring it to me to check it out... so ya, she brought it, i tested it, and it was good... Windows XP Professional, with Service Pack 2, WITHOUT ANY FLAWS... i was so happy...ok, so camp started...i gave an opening "speech" some said i was too serious, some said i was too nervous... i dunno... i wasnt feeling nervous, i tried not to be too serious, but there must be a certain level of seriousness from me, especially when i am pointing out the rules, or rather the commandments to the camp...yea... on the first dae, things went fine... did not need to use my voice so much cause i had a portable microphone...lucky me... some of the naughty boys, haiz... keep asking me whether they can go outside of the campsite to Caltex to buy stuff when i already stressed that no one is to leave the campsite or they will have to be answerable to me... cool rite... maybe that was when some ppl thought i was too serious... but throughout the whole camp, i tried me best to keep a balance... den next were josephine's good "clean" fun... hahha... by the "clean", u must be thinking, poor campers... i wonder wad this josephine did to them...correct anot...hahaha... yes... it was DIRTY...hahaha... lucky i nv play siaa...whew...rotton eggs mixed with flour in water, mixed with chin chow that was earlier squished and squashed by campers feet in a pail, can u imagine how tt smelt...yucks siaa...i dun really noe wad they did with it, but i saw some ppl with their heads with tt stuff... i wonder hoe josephine ever thought of tt... but good job ya josephine...Worship and the theme talk was good, i liked the theme talk by the Pastor Loke, he shared his testimony...tt made it interesting...
Thursday:
slept at around 1am and woke up at 6.45... todae there were some problems... probably due to miscommunication... the worship team did not have enough time to pratise and i had to push back all the programs a little and for some other programs, cut short a little...There was another theme talk by Pastor Loke againin the morning... we had the amazing race todae, it was an excellent game planned by derrek... good job derrek...campers went to different stations playing games, collecting green beans(money), and a lesson behind each game...finally, the game ended of with a marketplace where they used all their money to buy stuff, sel stuff, earn profit, make money, from different stalls selling different stuff... but each stall sold fruits of the spirit too...(wisdom, gentleness...) This was also the nite many heart were filled with embarrasement, they took time to think about their own human greed, the worldly desires... and we took time to pray for them... after that was supper, and guess wad... another birthdae suprise for me... todae, the 25 of Nov is my birthdae... They bought a big cake for me, and celebrated for me... my 18th birthday, spent as a camp commandant in a church camp... it is indeed time well spent...
Friday:
Today i slept at 2am and woke up at 7...todae we played the Wall of Jericho, where the camp committee members and the adults leaders took on the bad guys, and the rest of the campers had to follow their leader and not fight back even if we hurl insults at them or throw water bomb bags at them... they walked 4 rounds(in the bible, they walked 7 rounds), most were obedient, but some fought back... after this game was over, we gave them time to play captains ball, and some thime of relaxation to prepare their heart for the night service which was something that was supposed to be meaningful... i took a 1hr30min nap... quite tired... at night, the last theme talk with Pastor Loke, there was an alter call, many were slain as Rev Lawrence prayed for them...
Saturday:
Slept at 3.30am, and woke up at 7am feeling terrible... still felt real tired... wanted to go back to sleep, but i knew i had a responsibility to take, i told the group leaders to meet at the canteen with the members at 7.30, so i cannot be late... things were delayed cause the caretaker said we could not use the open space for worship, and since the rooms were booked by hour, we needed to go book the worship room for $280--> 4hours...expensive rite... so the worship team quickly shifted up the stuuf to the room... we had worship, a closing... and i ended off with a few words, and a song..."Reaching for You" our camp theme song...
Thats all for the camp itself... after camp, went home, then went to church for baptism class.. the last class...Rev Foo lead the class todae about the Sacraments...i was sooo tired man...was going to doze of in the class...handed in my testimony todae...
I have learnt alot from this camp, being the camp commandant is one thing, but getting to noe more about the ppl in the church...imagine a few crazy bunch of kids about 5 years ago have now become so matured, i would like to point wad i am saying to ppl like James Wong, John Cheah, Jireh, etc...

I just realised that i have only one more week of holiday... it passed so fast... not fair...
2 groups of ppl celebrated my birthdae with me, the DNA group and my church camp group, i did not expected it to happen, ppl who are not really close to me, sent me messages, wishing me happy birthday...i am soooo blessed this year... but i tell u the truth... i am still quite sad... my closest friends...those who are really really really close to me... they did not wish me that happy birthday... i am so sad... well, just telling you how i feel...
Okaez, i gotta go now, wrote quite a long one todae... will continue to write more tomorrow... and i will be putting up a post on my reflections this years soon... so keep looking at my blog page... tt post will be super duper long...
